New York Foundling’s BSFT On-Site Supervisor Danae Hamlet promoted to Assistant VP of BSFT Programs

Danae Hamlet is a remarkable young professional, always bright and eager to learn. Danae started her college education as an undergraduate in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies at Loyola University in Maryland. She received her Masters’ Degree of Education in Mental Health Counseling and a Masters’ of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Danae joined New York Foundling as a BSFT therapist in 2013. New York Foundling is the oldest child welfare agency in New York City. She quickly became the star of the BSFT program. For many months she scored the highest fidelity rating of any BSFT therapist in the United States. In 2014, Danae was appointed the BSFT On-site Supervisor to lead a team of 5 therapists. She assumed this role with a strong commitment to adherence to the BSFT model. As On-site Supervisor, Danae was continuously striving for excellence. Danae is also an excellent presenter. In December 2015, Danae was asked to present on the BSFT model to the leadership of New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). Her presentation was highly regarded by the staff of ACS. In order to maintain full utilization of the BSFT team, Danae regularly presented at the ACS field offices in the boroughs of Queens and Manhattan. In 2016, Danae was promoted to Director of Improving Family Systems (IFS). Again, with her strong administrative and clinical skills, Danae quickly rose to the challenges of her position. On August 21, 2017, Danae was promoted to Assistant Vice President of BSFT Programs. With her skills, level of competence and leadership capabilities that are second to none, we can expect another era of excellence by a young leader.
